Public Involvement
When elected, I will hold public meetings to discuss priorities, long term planning, problems around LHS, school lunch, neighborhood kindergartens, community impact, staffing, taxes, and any other issues important to our community. I will include students, employees and taxpayers in decisions about their district. I will end unnecessary closed meetings. Voters should be informed and encouraged to participate.
Fiscal Responsibility
Our district spends taxpayer dollars on unnecessary legal expenses. We can avoid legal expenses and costly settlements simply by complying with the law. When elected, I will not authorize unnecessary legal services. I will hold the school board and employees accountable for exposing the district to litigation and liability.

School Lunch
Many of our working families are facing financial crisis. When elected, I will act quickly to provide food security for all district children by implementing the NSLP. Until then, I support purchasing emergency food provisions for needy children in our schools, instead of drawing from our local food pantries. (The NSLP is funded by the US Department of Agriculture, not local school taxes. Families who can pay full price are not subsidized.)
What next?
Call for a yard sign. Talk about the school district.
Vote April 1st and ask your friends to vote! Get involved. I have the support of our district's represented employees and the AFSCME PEOPLE Conference. I ask for your support. We can make a difference!
