ORCHIDS for Ron Kossik, a member of the Manitowoc Public School Districts Board of Education. Kossik ran for the school board on a pro-school lunch platform. Once the board decided to move forward with a referendum on school lunch, legal counsel told board members they were not allowed to speak publicly on the issue. Kossik didn't agree with the decision, and he broke his silence this week by advocating school lunch at the city's Citizens Advisory Committee. Good for you, Ron.
